Our Style

Many of our customers ask, 'What kind of D.J.’s do you have?' We think this is a very valid question. We present ourselves as 'low key' and unobtrusive. We are not the kind of D.J.’s that wear funny hats and lead the Conga line at your wedding reception. Then again, you are not hiring us to be a 'human jukebox'. We are happy to perform any 'emcee' duties, such as announcements, Bridal party introductions and, of course, the traditional garter and bouquet toss.

We think it’s very important to meet with each customer and get a feel for the type of event they have in mind. Whether you want a classic wedding reception, or more of a 'club' experience for your party, we can, and will, deliver what you are looking for.

Our Equipment

         All of the equipment used by Tunes To Go is professional grade, so the brands might not be familiar to the general public.

·         The audio equipment is rack-mounted in a special heavy-duty case.

·         The heart of the system is the QSC 900 amplifier.
It produces up to 450 watts per channel, which is driven into a pair of Gemini speakers.

·         The speakers consist of two 18-inch woofers, a 17-inch mid-range horn and 5 tweeters each.

·         If the amp is the heart of the system, then the mixer might be considered the brains. It is also made by Gemini, and allows us to keep the music flowing between the Numark C.D. players. The mixer has a built-in equalizer to tailor the sound to any environment.

·         Then there is the music, the soul of the system. At this time, we have over 45 pages of song titles in our Music Menu. We are constantly updating the collection. From Frank Sinatra to Destiny’s Child and almost everything in-between, you will have plenty to choose from.

·         Let there be lights! We truly believe that a good light show adds immeasurably to the enjoyment of your guests. The lighting system consists of a pair of tripods to support a 10-foot truss. The lights are mounted on this. There are 8 colored spots that flash in differing patterns to the music, 6 special effects lights, including a strobe light and, of course the mirror ball. I also have a fog machine, two flame effect lights and a laser.
